Who Are Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Athletic trainers are sometimes confused with personal trainers. There is, however, a large difference in the education, skillset, job duties, and patients of an athletic trainer and a personal trainer. The athletic training academic curriculum and clinical training follow the medical model. Athletic trainers must graduate from an accredited baccalaureate or master’s program, pass and complete the BOC exam to become a licensed healthcare professional.

I can not express how grateful I am for the amazing care that I was given by Hector. I injured my knee training Jiu Jitsu and due to his extensive knowledge and experience Hector was able to immediately pin point the problem and set me on a corrective course. I expected to be out of action for awhile, but Hector was able to get me back on the mat almost immediately and back to 100% in 1/2 the time that I had expected. A huge thank you to the team who was amazing and could not have been nicer, more accommodating or more incredible.

JOSH HAMER

I threw out my lower back and it hurt pretty bad and made every day movements extremely painful. Hector got me right in and worked his magic. Right as I got up I could feel a difference and the pain was almost totally gone. I would highly recommend him and his clinic to anyone.

MARC RICCO

What a great experience. I think there is something for everybody here to experience. Hector is very informative and listen to your needs and finds a solution. I would recommend this place to everyone.

MICHELLE RIDER

As an runner and athlete I highly recommend seeing Hector for recovery! Since I have been using their services, I have been able to continue to train, pain and injury free. They have made all the difference in how I perform athletically and I love the personal attention they provide. They care about their clients and it shows.
