Hector Rodas

Phoenix P.I. Owner & Licensed Athletic Trainer

As an athlete I experienced certain disciplines from a young age. My understanding of consistency and hard work came from try-outs, practices and games.

I felt I had good health and because I was in good shape or conditioning I never dove deeper into what that really meant. At the time I was on an adult soccer league, practicing MMA and studying to be a mechanical engineer while working for the railroad. I endured a few harsh kicks during a sparring match which tore my meniscus, ACL and caused me to be disabled for 8 months.

This was one of the hardest times in my life, not just physically but mentally and emotionally as I was bound to a brace, the sofa, unable to do daily activities or play sports. I began to see a physical therapist to support rehabilitation back to work and my sports. It was through this journey of countless nights pushing myself through the pain and the mental challenge that I found myself learning about rehab methods and ways to obtain optimal health after injury.

I found myself fascinated with our body’s mechanics and its true ability to rise above anything when pushed the correct way. This led me to reevaluate all aspects of my health, from workouts, nutrition and self-care. My passions led me to a new field of study, a new school and State as I became a student of sports medicine and nutrition; and now practicing as a licensed Athletic Trainer.

My excitement to help others reach their goals and rise stronger from injuries, stressors and nutrition needs helps me continue learning and connect with others who have similar struggles as I did.
